Mr. Todd C. Brown

Mr. Brown is excited to begin his sixth year as Principal at Carolina Springs Elementary School. He began his career as a special education teacher at Gilbert Middle School and has served in the Assistant Principal role at Barnwell Primary School, Irmo Elementary, Carolina Springs Elementary, Pelion Elementary and Pleasant Hill Elementary. He is a graduate of The College of Charleston with a Bachelor's degree in Special Education, a Master of Sport Science from the United States Sports Academy and a Master of Education Administration from Grand Canyon University. Mr. Brown is happily married to Whitney, a nurse and has twin 8th graders, Jackson and Riley. When he is not at school, Mr. Brown enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, watching sports (Steelers, Pirates, Gamecock football and Duke basketball), running and listening to music.

The 2025-2026 school year will be an amazing year as we Build Our Learning Community, the Husky Way. Our theme this year provides us the opportunity to construct new relationships, create new learning pathways and build on the high levels of achievement our students have already started. We are thrilled to begin the school year developing positive relationships with students and welcoming families to our beautiful school building. Incredible opportunities are in our future at the Springs!

Mrs. Hailey Goodwin

I am so grateful to serve as Assistant Principal at Carolina Springs Elementary. This is my 10th year in education. I began my career in Lexington Four, where I taught 5th and 6th-grade Montessori for six years. After that, I served as a 6th-grade interventionist and math teacher within Lexington One before stepping into administration here at CSES.

I hold a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Montessori Education from Lander University, as well as a Master’s in Education Administration from the University of South Carolina—Go Gamecocks!

I believe that every child deserves access to a high-quality education, and I am committed to supporting our students in reaching their fullest potential. At CSES, we live by the motto to "Work hard. Choose kindness. Do our best." As an administrator, I strive to model and encourage that motto every day for both our staff and students.

I am grateful to continue being part of the Husky family and look forward to another great year of learning and growing together with our students, staff, and families!

Dr. Brooke Scott

My name is Brooke Scott and I am so excited to be the Assistant Principal at Carolina Springs Elementary School. This will be my 25th year in education. I have previously been a 3rd grade teacher, 4th grade teacher, Customized Learning Coach, and administrator. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in elementary education, Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Educational Administration, and a doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of South Carolina...Go Gamecocks! Outside of school, I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two daughters. Gracie is a sophomore and plays softball for Southern Wesleyan University. Emma is a 10th grader at LHS. We are always busy with sports! We love to travel, especially to Disney.
